Dear Jitendra,
It is with genuine regret that I write this letter to you; my written notice of intention to leave KF Properties. My last working day will be Wednesday 7th March 2007.
With no intention to cause further conflict I feel it is important that you are aware of the reasons behind my decision. I know how important honesty is to you.
Regarding the incident that took place in the reception area between yourself and I on Thursday 15th February 2007, I found your behaviour towards me to be unprofessional, intimidating and completely unjustified.
I would to stress once again that I would never go behind your back or undermine and sabotage your intentions. I would never deliberately choose to upset or anger you and I am proud of my loyalty to you and to the company.
I was very insulted that you called me a liar and shouted at me in such a manner in front of other employees like you did. Most importantly, I lost the respect I had for you prior to this incident. Respect I was proud of.
You threatened my position and the fact that after nine months commitment to the company I have still not been given a permanent contract reminds me how unsecured my position with K F Properties currently stands.
Since the incident on the 15th I have found myself intimidated, in fear of your reaction should I actually make a mistake.
I must emphasise that it is not my intention to leave the company with bad feelings on either part; I have enjoyed working for the company and will miss my role and everyone that I work with very much.
I sincerely hope you understand my reasons for leaving. I need to feel secure, I have payments I am committed to and I need to feel my job is safe. Furthermore nobody should be expected to work in an environment where they find themselves worrying about being humiliated and insulted in front of their colleagues for something they simply did not do.
Kind Regards
Laura Leigh Hemmings
