My Week Off
I am really enjoying my time off this week. The weather has been usually warm the past few days so I got to enjoy that, although it seems to be cooling down as of today.
I haven't really done much of note, but I'm still progressing through Black version. I finally made it to the city with the 7th gym in it, and I got to see the ex-rocket grunt. But I also had my 4th death today, caused because of my incredible stupidity and rashness. As you may of noticed, I have very few deaths so far, and most of them occur far from each other so it's not as bad as it could be. But that means I have ample time to bond with the other members and think up their personalities. Then that means it makes it all the more sadder if they die, especially if it was one that could be avoided.
In non-spoilery Nuzlocke news, I am having difficulty writing out the Striaton Bro's gym chapter. I'm happy with the pace of the beginning of the chapter, but it's mostly the end of the chapter that's troubling me. It's mainly issues with Cilan's dialogue, which ends up either sounding unnatural, pretentious, or it makes the chapter too long/ruins the pace. Here's hoping I find a solution soon, because I already have ideas rolling about for what to do with Fennel and TP playing football with Munna.
This Saturday is Queen's Day once more, the day where everyone drinks beer, wears orange, and holds a garage sale, all in the name of the Queen! I think besides checking out the garage sales for awesome finds, I'll try to go to the Hague. I think they hold a carnival of sorts for Queen's Day. I've also heard that Amsterdam is a great place to be for Queen's Day, but that's too far for me to go alone (and I have no friends to go with :/)
I got a haircut today, along with a minor coloring. I have a love/hate relationship with the after smell of hair coloring. Sometimes it smells nice, but sometimes it gives me a headache, especially if I'm feeling carsick. Well, at least my bangs are out of the way.
