I would be doing a spit take right now if I was actually drinking something.
Seriously, this trailer looks AMAZING. So many times I watch trailers and know that no matter how awesome it looks, the end result won't be as amazing (i.e., trailers for the Pokemon movies). But my fellow gamers, I see this trailer, and I believe. I believe. Level-5 has done beautifully done animation in games before. Capcom does a great job with Phoenix Wright, as it does with all of its games*. Both companies are well-known for creating awesome stuff that makes one squee. This is not a bad combination at all, people. That's why I'm not taking any chance and leaving a comment on this page:
www.capcom-unity.com/jgonzo/blog/2010/10/19/professor_layton_vs_ace_attorney_announced_for_japan. Even if it all turns out to be a big publicity stunt (I saw the comic contest they did for the release of the 3rd game of the Ace Attorney series, they claimed they weren't going to release the 3rd game unless someone entered or something), you can never be too careful. Plus, it actually is a good, cheap way of creating hype :D

In other Layton news, The Lost Future is out tomorrow ~
This means I can finally read the posts on the Professor Layton group without worrying about spoilers~
Wowzers, this has been a good gaming week.

*Well, I admit I don't take a close look at Capcom outside of the Ace Attorney Series, which it does a great translation of. But making full-blown Mega Man games NES style in this day and age really earns one's respect, IMO.
