Feeling lost and empty after Deathy Hallows...

I just can't shake the feeling of loss that came with finishing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

And this is the joy of fanfiction. In our fics, they do live on. We change the tragic ending.

At least I plan on changing it! I thought killing off Norrington was pointless and tragic. I mean, that they were going to kill off our beloved Cutler was a given; he's the villain, and we mustn't forget that these are DISNEY movies, where the good guys always live/win and the bad guys always die/get their just desserts (Disney, slang in some circles for saccharine unrealism). What was served by Norrington dying? Except we saw him degraded by Elizabeth's cyanide kiss even in the last moments of his life. We get the point; Liz Swann is one SEXEE BABEE, and we need to sacrifice Norrington's life to underline that. It would've been fresh and subversive and cool if they'd kept Cutler alive and killed off Jack Sparrow.

Never happen. Johnny Depp rakes in dah big bucks. Tom Hollander? Who the fuck is that?

So this is what I do when movies piss me off. I remember that most of them are money machines first and foremost. It's up to chicks like us to resuscitate them into art.
