I really need to see DON'T PANIC in large friendly letters right now.
Am back on campus, and am looking over my course schedule and wondering what the everliving hell I was thinking. Especially since the university's new system makes it a lot harder to do the last-minute class-shuffle I'm so accustomed to.
...maybe I'm less screwed than I think I am? We'll see.

Also, just as I'm despairing at the fact that there is so little in the way of canon het that appeals to me these days because augh stupid gender tropes that are not as self-justifying as you think they are, I catch Dexter in reruns on showtime and d'aww, I'd forgotten how cute Dexter and Rita are. Perhaps it says something about me that one of the few canon het romances that works for me these days is the serial killer and the recovering-from-a-shitty-past single mom. Shut up, y'all, Rita is awesome.
Also also, I got a haircut! My hair is normally much curlier than this, but this is the shortest it's been in god knows how long. I like the look; my hair didn't do much for me at the length it was, and I think I look a little older with all that excess excised.
Classes start Tuesday.
