cause of death: kink_bingo.

Jun 09, 2009 15:42

So I signed up for kink_bingo on Dreamwidth.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to at first, but I figure that I have been having enough creative woes lately that something to kickstart my writing process might not be such a bad thing.

Uh.

Guys?

My card is pretty darn sexy.

Oh Fuck. Last row has so much possibilities. ♥

...I honestly don't think I could ever write any of these. I like staying in my comfort zone. :/

Last row does, oh yes. *grins* I think my writing comfort zone is -- well, okay, my writing comfort zone is really goddamn weird, because kinkporn generally has to actively hit my squicks for me to contemplate not writing it (like watersports, though I think I've lost a good deal of my squicks as far as writing's concerned), but things like domesticity squick me right the fuck out. I am squicked by fluff a lot more often than I'm squicked by kink. *laughs*

Oh my. I'm the opposite (apparently I'm a fluffy writer now, I have no idea how this happened). I have issues with certain kinks, but I think I could write some of them, given time. Truth be told, though, it isn't so much as the kink itself that squicks me out when I read fics, its mostly the character's portrayal and the undercurrent emotions. XD

So we'll be seeing that AHEW!verse Russia/America mirror play then? XD

It is looking increasingly likely, thanks to the two devils sitting on my shoulder. Well, okay, Mith is at work so she hasn't encouraged me yet but it's Mith, she probably will.

I see what you're getting at. I am really averse to kink when it's poorly done, especially if the kink involves consent issues -- I don't necessarily need things to be safe, sane, and consensual when I'm just reading about them, but I don't want them to be presented as SSC when they're not, if that makes sense.

...I've already written incestuous hermaphroditic cannibal demon threesome dubcon porn. I don't know if there are many kinks left that I really can't write.

Fluff just doesn't interest me, I've found; I need some kind of conflict to keep me hooked in a story, especially when I'm writing it, and I have deeply personal issues with domesticity that it would take me a while to unpack, but suffice to say it weirds me out.

YES. /enables

Aha. That makes sense to me. I've read too many fics where things are SSC when in fact it doesn't feel it should be. Strangely enough, I can get past the consent issues (eventually), but if I dislike the way a character is written (like he's wildly OOC), I go O_o.

...Oh. Well. XD
