Ha, we're trying! Mith finally sat me down and made me play through almost all the titles in the main series (still haven't played IV), which she'd been trying to get me to do for years. I fell in love, and as often happens when Mith and I fall in love with something, we started tossing around plotbunnies left and right.

I'm so glad you liked this, because I adore Chris and I'm planning on writing a lot more of her in days to come. (And she is SO dense, the dear. Sometimes willfully so, I suspect, but dense nonetheless.) And I'm really glad that this came across as there are different ways of doing it and not the other, because both Lucia and Chris are so fabulous and strong in their own ways, and I didn't want to undermine that for either of them.

Mith and I have headcanon about how Hugo is CONSTANTLY MORTIFIED by his mom's hotness. She's his MOM, for spirits' sake, can everyone stop talking about how hard they'd tap that where he can overhear?!? I think he'd probably run out of the castle with his hands over his ears if he heard about Lucia and Chris -- for all that he grows up over the course of the game, he's still such a teenage boy sometimes. And teenage boys do not want to hear about their mothers' sexual escapades.
