So there's been pretty complete radio silence on the Worldsmith front, and I apologize for that -- to be honest, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it for a while. I've been playing with it over the past few months, though, and thinking about it a lot recently, and I've realized that I'm really really attached to this story, and I want to tell it. It deserves to be told.
And I can't think of a better reason for continuing it than that.
So here's the game plan: In place of NaNo, I'm going to use November (and what remains of October) to finish the story. I don't have 50k left in this thing, never fear, more like 30k if I manage to rein myself in. I'll probably start posting the new chapters at the beginning of November to give myself a head start on the writing. Since it's been so long since I last updated the thing, I invite you guys to check out ff.net and AO3, where I'll be reposting the existing chapters over the course of the next two weeks; after that, my LJ and ff.net and AO3 updates should be synchronized.
Here's the story on ff.net, and
here's the story on AO3.
(I will also try to catch up on backlogged comments on, uh, everything. orz.)
Thanks for your patience, everyone. I completely understand if you've totally given up on this project, but it has life in it yet (or unlife, in some cases) and I'm going to see it through to the end. Promise.
