"A cop, you say?" Shakespeare asks. America can't see him frown, not really, not in the guttering light from the lantern, but he hears the halt in his voice.
"An, um. A constable? An officer of the law? That guy back there."
The light flickers again, catches Shakespeare's smile. "Aye, I did."
iii) Something I am honestly curious about, as it seems like a LOT of my fannish friends wear glasses or contacts, and I'm wondering if that's as common of a denominator as I think it is. (Not that correlation implies causation or anything, I'm just wondering.)
