IT'S HERE.

Jesus this is the most ambitious thing I have ever written solo. BUT I AM EXCITED FOR IT.

Ideally I will be able to get a chapter of this out every week; realistically it might end up being more like a chapter every two. But I know where this is going, I know what I need to do next, and I feel good about it. I hope you guys have as ( Read more... )

so you know, I haven't actually commented on one of your fics in far too long. Perils of adoration.

So, on this you get comments.

BECAUSE IT IS IMMENSELY KICKASS. All the way through. Ranging from the fact that oh I know that movie and the adorable fraughtness of the UST right through the immense hilarity of hadron collider and onto America's panic which is only worse than England's by level of VOLUME, and then well.

Spenser.

And suddenly, here we go.

I cannot wait to see what you do with this.

I KNOW WHERE I AM GOING WITH THIS, which is almost more terrifying than NOT knowing where I'm going with this. But like. I CAN SEE IT AND IT IS WORKING AND I AM SO EXCITED TO BE WORKING ON THIS.

And I am so glad you are enjoying, and that all the CRAZY EMOTIONAL SHIFTS work for you, because oh my god this fic is going to be all over the fucking emotional map. But hey, that's Shakespeare, amirite.

Thank you for the comment. Ilu too.

“Aliens are not time travel with fairies
I have to agree with America on this one.

Also liked the almost kiss. UST~

SO MUCH UST IN THIS~

and the best part is that this fic is out of Self-Evident timeline so YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW I'M GOING TO RESOLVE OR NOT-RESOLVE IT!
Though you can probably guess.

-- how can you make that boring I don not understand. That must take some determinedly fail writing. Like. Someone sits down and PLOTS OUT how to make such a story COMPLETELY BORING.

The Faerie Queene is beautiful -- I read it senior year of high school, and I mean, I have a giant nerd-on for any and all Elizabethan poetry anyway, but I was all MYTHOLOGIZING HISTORY KYAAAAAAA at it.

More is totally coming! (The next chapter introduces Will Shakespeare properly! I kind of love writing Will!)

Okay, pfff, that part does sound pretty great. But it's kind of sad that such a cool concept fails so hard in the execution, because seriously, demon hunter Queen Victoria. I love high-concept stuff like that when it's pulled off with style and wit! But the wit part is essential.

I ALREADY LOVE THE BITS WITH HIM IN KIND OF A LOT. I'm surprised at how natural he is to write, too, but maybe I've internalized the guy after all these years, who knows.

Oh, man! Now that I've talked to you a bit, I don't feel like such a creeper commenting on your stuff-I hope you don't mind!

This is... oh, I can tell this is going to be so cool. Time travel and faeries and mystery and the way you write England and America, and just the way you write in-general... you use metaphor really well, and your writing conveys emotions, but it's not all emotion, if that makes sense; it's solid and uses solid words and is completely engaging and without pretension. It reads like fun, like an adventure story for anyone to enjoy.

/tl;dr: I can't wait to read what happens next!

I don't mind at all! I love talking to people about my fic, and talking to people in general, really.

I am so glad this is accessible and engaging -- I mean, not gonna lie, a lot of this fic did sort of spring from the fact that I have a huge nerd-on for Shakespeare and there's plenty of that threaded through this, but there's definitely a plot larger than "Puel waxes rhapsodic about Elizabethan theatre" at work here, and I think it's going to be a fun one.

More's definitely on the way!
