VANCOUVER 2010: THE AFTERMATH
HOW 'BOUT THEM GAMES, FLIST.
A few important points:
1) Johnny Weir is not only the Ice Princess of my heart, but a capital-C Class Act. You go, Johnny. (Man, could I fangirl him more?)
2) Speaking of "can I fangirl him/her more?" HOW ADORABLE IS KIM YU-NA SERIOUSLY THAT LEVEL OF CUTE SHOULD BE ILLEGAL. No wonder she appears in so many ads in South Korea, damn.
3) CONGRATULATIONS TEAM USA FOR YOUR *DOUBLE PLATINUM* MEDALS IN ICE HOCKEY

seriously though, that was an awesome game, and Ryan Miller is still a beast. Team USA has nothing to be ashamed of.
4) I feel kinda bad for Lindsey Vonn, but at least she managed a gold and a bronze. Those were some nasty wipeouts, though.
5) Shaun White = also adorable. Also, I am informed that:
All the U.S. 'boarders at the Olympics are sporting specially designed Gore-Tex pants that look like slouchy distressed jeans.
ALFRED YOU GIANT DORK.
6) Oh, Belbin and Agosto. I love them so hard, I wish they could have medaled, especially since pretty much everything about Domnina and Shabalin's performance at the Olympics fills me with rage. (Way to be classy with that "Aboriginal" dance, douches.) But Virtue and Moir were great, even if I kinda preferred Davis and White's routine. Well. Except for the part with Phantom, I fucking hate ALW.
BUT IN PAIRS, SHEN AND ZHAO. HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THEM.
7) So, about those Norwegian curling pants...

Feel free to bring up things I have not mentioned, I am still in OLYMPICS KYAA mode and will yammer my head off about lots of things.
(And I will also address my comment backlog, which has gotten huge. sob.)
ALSO any and all commentfic/art of Country Hijinks at the Olympic Village is totally welcome and awesome.
Hell, throw out ~*prompts*~ and stuff for other people. Other not-necessarily-me people, even, friends and lurkers can and should totally get in on this, too, because I am so backlogged on requests and do not have time to fill anything myself, but I know a lot of you guys are fangirling the Olympics at least as hard as I am, and it is my *seekrit hope* that we can like band together to express our Olympicslove through Dumb Country Antics. And stuff. I've got too much on my plate to make an official Winter Games request-a-thon, but I am totally down with doing a super-informal HETALIAOLYMPICSKYAA thing, if there is interest in that. And stuff. Yeah.
