School was pretty okay this week; did some lessons, exposed my luminous off-blue skin to the sun, had some random attacks of hayfever, moaned about the head- all good. Had another fire bell- about the fourth in two months- seems our mighty leader has a fetish for firemen. We have no money for paper or ink in school- it's all being spent on men in uniform. Apparantly her ladyship also likes builders as she was commenting on how much she admired their 'big drills'.

Went to see Hamlet on Friday. The person playing Hamlet was a bit too pouty (and skinny) for my liking. Liked Polonius though- he was amusing. The best parts of the play had to be what was going on off stage. This random man told a foreign woman to 'shh' and she proceeded to punch him and tell him to 'fuck off' and Char and I were in hysterics at this man who fell asleep in Act 1 Scene 1 and found it hard to remain conscious throughout. All in all, twas great.

Last night was very amusing. Made buns without burning the house down and then went to the pub with Mich, Mel, Martha and Lauren. We had some random Welsh guy come up to us and start talking about music but he soon disappeared as this woman glared at him, leaving his untouched pint behind him. Martha soon polished that off. Phil sang us some songs- Anne the landlady told us her life story and then we went into Plymouth and drank some more. Met a Polish man who wanted to rub my back off and almost lost my shoes many times on the sticky floor. Went to Lauren's house having had the following to drink: red wine, Jack Daniels and coke, double Malibu and coke x 2, beer, double Southern Comfort and lemonade and double something-that-tasted-like-apples and lemonade and my ears weren't even warm. I am now called 'Steel Liver'. Since I have never been drunk it was decided that the experience should at least be simulated as I was the only sober person there. So it was that at about 3AM I clambered up the steps of Lauren's wobbly bunk bed and spent the night being rocked to sleep. Am now very sleepy but remain hang-over-less.
