So I quit the paper.

My last day is Sept. 29.

I'm going over to the dark side...

...that's right: public relations.

Kinda.Starting Oct. 9 I am the Communications Coordinator for Planned Parenthood of Central North Carolina. This means I am responsible for bringing the good word of fair and equitable healthcare to 32 counties

Thank you! It's terrifying and a little depressing to leave reporting behind but I keep telling myself its temporary.

Ooh, what's the long-term plan?

[puddn]

I wish I knew! We're stuck here in NC for a while so I want to stay at PP for that time. By the time we leave we'll probably have kids, so that will be an additional consideration.

My idea is to move somewhere out west and I can work for a paper there.

Are you gunning to get on full time writing for the Herald?
