(no subject)
So, I haven't updated this in awhile. I've been mostly using my myspace blog. More of my friends are on it...
I'm at work right now... I can't believe I'm used to getting up this early and being functional. The bad part is that I have to switch and learn to be a night owl in the next 72 hours after this shift because I switch to working the night shift on Monday. I'm kind of sad leaving my day shift crew. They've all been really nice.
One of the girls that graduated the year before me works the night shift on my unit. That class and my class didn't get a long very well... They hated that we actually enjoyed nursing school and didn't completely depend on the professors for every little bit of knowledge. The only way to learn nursing is to seek learning opportunities in the hospital. It's not my fault that you don't value your education.
The best and greatest news I have: I am now Elizabeth A. Corum, RN. Officially. I love it!! I'm in the honey moon phase of being a graduate nurse where everything is new and scary, but loving it. I'm waiting for the panic stage to set in, because I know it will get here eventually.
It's dark, and quiet... and there is nothing to do yet. I don't have to start my morning quite yet. The joys of nursing...
Well... off to find something else to entertain me for a few more minutes till my day really begins.
