Some splendid Gothic gloom yesterday, worthy of a ruined castle or two! It was a shame I only encountered dilapidated barns.

True. Every season has its beauty. Even if rain and mud are not as photogenic as sunshine and snow! 😊

Yeah. It was quite heavy going along some of those paths, but they were all passable, which isn't bad for the end of December.
