Now the tree is up, I will admit that it is, perhaps, starting to feel a bit like Christmas.

I have very old car, anyway you could get a regular bicycle tire pump and it would have a pressure dial and yes you can pump air with bicycle tire pump especially if it’s not too much. Your cold tire pressure written on the driver door jam. If car was driven you should add extra 5psi.

Yes, the tyre pressure is written on a little plate by the driver's side door. I'm going to try and borrow a foot pump this weekend...

There is a garden in the palace and a tent with the British Baking Show. They are super kind. The lady in glasses knows the mechanic. He is no longer a mechanic-he is of royal blood due to a cross-class marriage-but he sympathizes anyway. They had a good Rolls-Royce pump made out of solid brass and West Indian rubber. It is blessed by the Queen. They might give you a little air in your American car tire-just be on the lookout for the British Imperial system or, God forbid, metric for pressure. Good luck!

Heh!

It is done. The solid brass & India rubber pump (blessed by the Queen) did the trick.

1.5 out of 3 ain't bad.

Pour yourself a cuppa, sit by a window, and enjoy penning those cards, my friend,

😊

I've managed the cuppa bit, and now I just need to put pen to paper!

I only had enough for the decoration in front of the porch - I put several pots (heuchera, 2 small pine trees and artificial greenery) with evergreen foliage on the old sleds, stuck in a branch with red plastic berries and wrapped the handrails of the sleds with a red ribbon. The old sleds became so attractive that I was glad, and I was going to throw them away

The sleds sound wonderful! Will there be pictures?

In past years, I have had a winter container outside the front door, with cyclamen, trailing ivy, a tiny conifer (Cupressus ‘Wilma Goldcrest’), and pink berries of Pernettya mucronata. But this year, I never got round to planting a winter display.

Yes, I'm going to take a picture of this sled, the masses of snow that fell on them and turned them into a snowdrift have just thawed. I found pine seedlings in my garden - the seeds from the neighboring pines have sprouted. The sprouts are still small, about 20 cm, I don't know how they will survive this winter in pots.
