Stars in the forest at 6am this morning. I had forgotten there were stars! Orion and Taurus and the Pleiades in the clear western sky. Jupiter, near Taurus, fiercely outshining Aldebaran.
Too much hazy cloud in the south for a glimpse of Leo, but it's probably a bit early for the Leonids meteor shower anyway. The maximum isn't until the 17th, by which time the anticyclonic gloom is forecast to return.
