Even the frost gets bored in lockdown
Yesterday the workers at the Secret Ministry of Frost went all Art Deco on the puddles.
The Met Office said there was a chance we might see some snow this morning. But it rained here instead, and the rain froze. Cars coming in on the northern road had snow on their bonnets.
Had to cut short Max's walk this morning because of the sheet ice. His hind legs are a bit dodgy now, and he's already had one fall this week. And it didn't help that we were late setting out. We must have been following in the tracks of his mortal enemies, the poodle twins, because he was bouncing on the end of the lead and baying. I couldn't risk letting him go hurtling off on a mission of war with all this ice around.
We'll try again later, when the ice may have thawed. The sun's out now, and there's mist rising.
