Sleep deprivation

In a weak moment I decided to adopt a puppy from a farm where they were not wanted and were being a little neglected.  The parents are champion purebreds, but working farm dogs - they work with the cattle.  It was the second litter of puppies they had this year and there were seven of them - one of them had been pushed aside by the others and was in the pumphouse eating hay - the vet said it would have died in a week or two.  My niece took that one and I have a sister.  The puppy antics are driving me crazy though.  She is adorable and you've gotta love her but she's getting into everything and my four cats are "not amused" at being herded constantly.  It's like having a small child around again, I have to keep an eye on her constantly.  I was keeping her crate in my bedroom at night but the panting was keeping me awake (and not in a positive life affirming way!).  Here's a picture of Star, she's a border collie.
