I read about this alarm clock that, when you hit the Snooze button, donates money from your bank account to a charity that you would not normally support. The theory behind this is that your guilt at supporting such a "charity" would motivate you to get out of bed instead of hitting the snooze.
I would have owed the NRA a sizable amount of dough this morning.
After hitting the "Just Ten More Minutes" button I finally got out of bed, sorted the laundry ran a load over and swept the apt. It wasn't until I went to flip the laundry to the dryer did I notice a fire truck and a crowd of people in the parking lot looking toward the laundry mat. Following their gaze I see that it isn't the laundry mat that is in danger but the building beyond it. The top floor apt had just recently been extinguish all the exit doors were open and one of the windows was blown out letting lingering smoke and steam escape.
I hope no one was hurt. I think I am going to unplug all unnecessary electronics until I get that false sense of security back.
News from Sask: It's cold and the Boy is coming down with something.
For now I have some laundry to put away and finish up the dishes then off to work.
Anyone up for the Piggy tonight?
