Sleep

I moved him out of that rubbermaid bin a while ago, and now he starts out the night in the pack'n'play. Then usually between 2 and 4 he wakes up to potty and I pull him in bed with me. This is fine except that he tends to stay latched on most of the night and unlatching him results in waking up, needing another trip to the potty, and then nursing again to get back to sleep. I would just let him stay latched except I get really sore lying on one side for so long and I have to roll over at some point. Sometimes I can roll him over too and switch boobs without him really waking. But lately, forget trying to put him back in his bed once he comes in with me. The few times he has unlatched and I've tried to do it, he's woken up crying after 10 minutes in the pack'n'play. This morning he did actually unlatch, and I just left him in between me and Scott on our bed and scooted away from him a few inches. I didn't sleep very well like that because I was paranoid about Scott rolling over on him (we've made it 8 months and this has never, ever happened, so I probably don't have anything to fear, but there's mommy brain for you). I think if I don't get to the point where I can sleep soundly with him in bed with me unlatched in the next couple of weeks, I might get a twin mattress on the floor for him, where I can go lie and nurse him and then sneak back to my bed if he unlatches and leave him there. Some babyproofing of the bedroom will have to happen if we do that.
