Gold had just finished tying his shoes when there was a knock on the door. He grinned, smacking the sides of his shoes with both hands before he jumped up from his spot on his bed. Once he got to his feet, he raced to the door. The door swung open, and Gold stood there, dressed in nothing special other than the coat Bob had given him.

He put his hand behind his head and shifted his weight. "Hi, Mikapii." He pauses, looking over his date and maintaining his goofy smile. "I like your dress."

The door opened and right away the effects of the cupidbot were kicking in, as a light blush filled the boy's cheeks. "H-Hello..." He blinked a few times before realizing he was being rather awkward, and he let out a small squeak, blushing even brighter, "A-Ah! Th-thank you...!"

This was weird. Why was his heart suddenly beating so fast? It was just a small compliment, right...? But it was from Gold. And somehow, that made it even better! "S-So, should we go?" With a bright smile, the puff reached out and grabbed Gold's hand in both of his own.

Fortunately for Mikapii, Gold hadn't taken much notice to Mikapii's peculiar behavior. He shuffled out of the room and closed the door with his foot, taking hold of Mikapii's hands with both of his. "You're welcome!"

He sighed happily, taking a few steps into the hall. "Yeah, I even know where we're going this time," he said with an awkward laugh. Gold was pretty excited, but a little nervous. This was, after all, his first date.

Another blush filled Mikapii's face as Gold stepped forward. He made sure to keep up with the trainer as they walked down the hall, his bright blue eyes gazing endearingly up at him.

When Gold laughed, Mikapii felt his heart do a small flip in his chest; he was such a cute laugh! Suddenly, everything about Gold just seemed so amazing...! He wanted to be even closer to him! So, he wrapped both arms around Gold's arm and he rested his head on Gold's shoulder as they walked. He even started to hum a small happy tune, but then suddenly cut it off, once more making sure not to make Gold drowsy!

Gold nodded off for a second, as Mikapii began to hum. He looked over at the puff, blinking a few times as he quickly shook off his sleepiness. "I realized last night that it might be a little cold for milkshakes. But I think the place we're going serves hot drinks too." Actually, it was Gold's mom who had reminded him on the phone the night before that it was snowing there. Not exactly milkshake weather.

"But uh..." he added. "You can get whatever you want. I'm still gonna get a milkshake."

Again, Gold wasn't thinking too hard about Mikapii's behavior. He found it a little comforting, actually; the feeling of the Jigglypuff's head on his shoulder.

Mikapii loves a mama's boy! "Ah! I don't mind having milkshakes, even if it is cold outside~" He nuzzled his face into Gold's shoulder and giggled, "Heee, I have you here to warm me up, after aaaall~!" Unfortunately, the effects of the cupidbot's arrows were now in full-effect, and Mikapii had become completely enamored with the trainer, revealing a rather flirty side of him.

Reaching over, he gently walked his fingers up Gold's chest, "Mmm, maybe we could get one... and share it~? You know, with two straws o-or something~"

Well, you're in luck, Mikapii.

Finally, it hit him. Gold let out a loud, and awkward laugh as Mikapii's dainty fingers crawled across his chest. "Uhhh... sure. Maybe... Depends on what kind you want."

Gold pulled away from the Jigglypuuf and opened the heavy door with his waist, shrugging his shoulder to balance his weight. "But I wouldn't mind sharing with you," he added. He held the door open for Mikapii, leaning up against it.

His nose immediately went pink from the cold.

Mikapii tilted his head to the side as Gold laughed, unsure as to what exactly he found funny. "Oh, I like all kinds, so I don't mind. Whatever you want~!"

When Gold opened up the door, the puff skipped along outside, turning as he walked so he didn't have to look away from the trainer. The sudden change from warm to cold caused him to shiver, and he wrapped his arms around himself. "Brrr, it's chilly today!" He paused, looking down before smiling brightly up at Gold, "Nnn, Gooold, if I freeze, will you... uhm... unfreeze meee~?"

Gold snorted. "I'll try my best," he replied, simply.

Once they were both outside, Gold huddled up to Mikapii. He wrapped his arm around Mikapii's, and grabbed his hand. The walk to their destination wasn't too long once they were off the school grounds and in the city. Just a few blocks.

"Hey, so uh... Happy Valentine's Day, by the way." He grinned back at the pink-haired puff.

Mikapii cuddled up with the trainer as they walked, a rather silly smile on his face. It was a miracle he could walk straight, given he was clinging onto Gold and kept glancing up at him instead of paying much attention to where they were walking.

"O-Oh! Happy Valentine's Day!" Mikapii echoed, still smiling brightly, "Mmm, I'm so glad you asked me to spend the day with you. Valentine's Day is much better when you're with some you li- ah! Look at me, I'm saying such embarrassing thiiings~!" Mikapii giggled and shook his head, blushing.

Gold's smile contorted into something a little more flustered. He wasn't exactly blushing, but his cheeks felt a little warmer. "You don't need to be embarrassed," he paused to squeeze Mikapii's hand, "I like you too," he offered awkwardly.

"Heh, if, uh, that's what you were gonna say, I mean," he added, pursing his lips.

The two were getting closer to their destination. Just a few blocks to go; Gold could see the sign from where they were. ...And despite his awkwardness, Gold wasn't feeling too embarrassed at the moment.

"You... y-you do?" Mikapii looked up at Gold, his eyes wide and shining as the smile on his face steady grew brighter. He also tightened his grip on Gold's hand, giggling cutely, "Heehee! I'm so happy~!"

It only took a few moments from there to reach their destination, and Mikapii hopped a step forward to open the door for Gold, his face still flushed red. "A-After you~"
