"And so it is..."
Been a reading and taking in information week and I feel a change coming over me, I've of late just gone home when I want to, seemingly more random but more self-controlled more than anything. It's a funny feeling, but something is changing and it basically feels like that's a good thing.
I've watched a film called Last Orders which stars Michael Caine, Helen Mirren, Bob Hoskins, Tom Courtney, David Hemmings and more, it's an old style story of 5 friends in a pub, and one of them dies and it's their discovery about each other and their discoveries that this one that dies and how much he ruled over everyone else, it's a good character piece I think, oh and it's got Ray Winstone in it as well who's an awesome actor, always honest and direct.
Also taken in 28 Days Later... the one that's a subtle but powerful 'rage' virus piece, haven't seen it for ages but films that play with your mind in a zombie no-one left in the world way are always entertaining.
Who else caught the Brits last night then? Some great performance I'd say! Chris Martin looked slightly drunk and seemed to be rather bizarre with is on stage antics but each to their own, Prince called the shots basically opening the show after the Kaiser Chiefs, they were good, Prince was just brilliant, his sound quality and performance was top draw, I'd love to se ehim one day live somehow, not that he does many shows these days but it was a lovely insight.
I'm offically a big new fan of KT Tunstall, I've liked bits of hers and she sounded cool on Jo Whiley a few times but I like her cos she's feisty, goood mooosik as well, the album I need!!
Radio One have been playing British only music all week from the last 40 years and it's all been wonderful, we are truely blessed in this country I think and i makes me proud of being British just listening to so many bands that have influenced so many more, we rock! lol!
And finally Paul Weller last night more than deservedly won Outstanding Achievement award, that top geezer had been going for 30 years and has never sold out or needed to try and be something that he's not, he's always produced class music from his days with The Jam thru to his solo stuff for the last about 12+ years, very very deserved and so good to see him on telly and doing Town Called Malice, I'm pretty sure I know for a fact that me_arual would have been dancing and jigging around, she's a massive fan, such an icon...and PW! ;-)
