I have to admit that I've never been watching a single bit of it. Dunno really why. I love Columbo as well and haven't ever managed to watch only one whole episode. *scratches head*

Well, you can't be everywhere, can you? ;)
But among Sherlock Holmes fans it is quite important which actor you favour. And there is no one who fit the books like Jeremy Brett. In real life he had to endure a great share of suffering, poor man.
If you are not into Holmes, don't watch it. Or maybe you should, for you might still like it because of Brett and Burke. ;)

He was my favourite Sherlock as well. I felt he portrayed the character Conan Doyle created better than many others eho played the part.

Exactly! And he put so much energy into getting it just right. The others were/are always lacking something.
