Dammit, I as just trying to get first comment. But now I can leave the real comment:

You have absolutely no idea how much I appreciate the fact that you've written this. The Laramie Project had a deep emotional effect on me; my school was going to do it as our school play until parents complained and the play was cancelled. Instead, a local theater class that I am a part of did a collection of scenes from it on the Day of Silence, and it was at one of our rehearsals that I came out publicly for the first time. I think the way you portrayed its effect (as well as that of the Trevor Project's) on both gay and straight (and bi and trans) participants was perfectly realistic and just all-around awesome.

The development of each character was great, especially Rachel's in-character speech to Finn, which managed to be in-character without encompassing any of her annoying attributes. Even the slightly cracky ending was heartwarming.

(PS, does the Trevor Project really allow for under-18 volunteers? I've desperately wanted to support them, but I don't have any money to donate and it seems like pretty serious work for minors to do.)

Thank you so much, babe!

Yeah, Laramie will always have an effect on me. I went to the performance in NYC with Jenna (I had no idea until I read it on her IMDB!) and I co-directed my school production. Powerful, amazing stuff.

Lol, and that is what I meant by the embellishment. There is no way in hell Finn would be allowed to answer calls. Under 18 volunteers do the ordinary stuff, like make copies and filing. Stuff like that. As a college freshman, I was the Special Events intern, which meant I got to participate in a lot of the fundraising events, like the huge NYC gala put on every summer. But, yeah, no one without a degree in psych or child psych would be allowed to answer phones. Too much responsibility, but I thought it would work with Finn.

Haha, yeah, that's what I figured. X) But I could do mundane office volunteer work...

(Definitely mem'ing, by the way)

Even the mundane work was awesome because just being in that environment was awesome!

Also, thank you!
