At first the touches aren't friendly: it's Puck's hand on his heart while he's being lifted into the dumpster; it's his thumb moving across Puck's bicep, a hold that stupidly makes him feel safer, makes him notice that Puck is always careful not to let go of him until his feet are in the dumpster so he won't get hurt; it's the touch of their fingertips as Kurt hands him something he doesn't want ruined, Puck's hand that always linger; it's Puck's arm casually slid over his shoulders as if that its place despite them not being friends.
Then it changes, it becomes a hand that pats him in the back; an arm thrown over his shoulders in camaraderie; it's an hug after competitions; Puck's head on his shoulder when they laugh together; their knees touching because Puck always seats turned a bit towards him.
Then suddenly, one day, it's Puck's hands cupping his face; it's Kurt's fingertips skimming over stubble, down sharp cheekbones, across a strong jawline. It's Puck's lips against the shell of his ear murmuring sweet nothings and words that would make even Santana blush. It's knowing the feeling of Puck's chest against his back for different reasons than what had made it familiar; Puck's thighs around his waist; sweat dampened skin under his palms; teeth pulling his lower lip; a tongue against his own; soft hair sliding through his fingers; pulsing veins beneath his mouth. A hand that rests against his heart to keep him there.
