The room is really terribly silent without the children.

It is both a blessed relief, Puck reflects, like letting out a breath one has been holding for two years, and slightly ominous; as if, in the absence of the twins and Raspberry, the room has taken on many of the less enviable qualities of a tomb.

Then again, it does have a lovely view.

It might behoove Puck to be a little more proactive in his attempts to defeat Blodwen for a third and one can only pray final time. However, at the moment, he is sitting cross-legged on Havelock's bed and fiddling with the contents of his pockets: some string, a playing card he doesn't recognize (it has a large, purple iguana on it), and a box of matches.

It's possible he's waiting for an epiphany.
