and the winner is...
us!
well, we won the best supporting actress award -- quite unexpectedly, i might add. *and*... both my girl and i won acting debut awards, which were a surprise, as they weren't nomination categories that were known. this is soooo great. we've been noticed by the committee, even if we didn't have huge audiences. and considering that we were up against many other theatre companies that are established, had many more shows, and many more actors, we did fabulously. it was extra cool, as most of the theatre folk hadn't seen our (one!) show, and were wondering: "just who the hell *are* those people, and what did they do to get noticed by the committee so much?!?" it was a fabulous surprise, and we're so excited. i'm still grinning like a rabid monkey.
check it: four people in our theatre company. one award for best supporting actress. two acting debut awards. our final member was in two other shows that were nominated, and was a presenter. we've made an impact. whoo-hoo!
(also, we looked *hot*. all the gay men told us so. and we believe them, because they'd tell us if we didn't look good just as quickly. :) )
