so we went to see the dalai lama yesterday. the first thing i noticed about him (and this may be inappropriate...) is that he is *the* cutest little old guy i have ever seen. even if he is the spiritual leader of an entire religion. also, he's funny. and he has a lot of good things to say.
it was a bit difficult to hear/understand a good portion of his speech, but i still just like hearing his voice. we were in the stadium at UB, waaaay up in the stands (next to last row), and all these stupid, middle-aged chatterboxes... i mean 'women', were surrounding us, and all talking. at full volume. while philip glass was playing. i was going to kill them. all of them. but i really couldn't, seeing as how i was sitting there about to hear the guy who's all about nonviolence. so i just did the look that says "hey. could you please hush a bit so i can hear the marvelous piano music that people pay a lot to hear under other circumstances, and not discuss your cell phone plans so loudly?" apparently none of them understood my polite ocular message. but they *finally* shut up when his holiness actually began speaking. it was pretty cool.
in other news, my little brother is having religious difficulties in the religion i grew up in. have i mentioned that i pretty much detest said religion? and think it's a cult? it's ridiculous. that's all i have to say at this time. thank you.
