advice...
I could scream on the top of my lungs.
I don't think there are any words to express how much Matt's parents..mainly his mother pisses me off.
Matt found an apartment in Chicopee that is 900 a month includes everything but electric.... 2 bed room decent size kitchen and living room and 1 bathroom. I thought that was a good deal. There are not a lot of places you can find that include all or most utilities anymore.
anywho..matt's mom went on one of her tangents saying that was too expensive and she believes that buying a house would be mor reasonable.....ugh what planet she is living on. I am 22 and don't have a full time job. Matt is 24 and just started a good job. Neither of us have the money. I will not buy a house without a good down payment because 1. you are stupid if you don't. 2. it reduces your monthly payments.
there are a billion reasons why buying a house is stupid rather than renting. let me list them
1. we don't have the money
2. i don't want to make a 30 year agreement because it is not def. we are staying in western mass. forever
3. we have no furniture to fill a house it would look ridiculous
4. we have enough to make an apartment look reasonable and not enough money to buy a lot of things
5. we would be paying a 1000 or more mortage NOT including utilities and neither of us can afford 1500 a month or more
6. you have to pay for closing costs..no thank you
7. you have to pay for property taxes..no thank you
8. we have to worry and buy equipment to take care of our lawn...no thank you
9. we would have to find a cheap house..no such thing in w. ma
10. cheap house - major fixes to be done...don't have that money
11. yes we get to sell it...and get our money back that we have put into it..but by then we will be broke and probably broken up because we all know that the #1 reason for divorce/break ups is money
12. we would have to get it paid to be inspected....no $
13. all i have ever wanted in life is a cute apartment
14. i am ok with pissing away 700-900 dollars a month and not getting anything back in the long run.

16. she needs to mind her own business and stop trying to control matthew
17. i appreciate her advice even though it is the stupid but it's just not happening
18. i am ok with her not approving and being mad...don't come visit that solves a lot of my problems...thank you
i do know that the two main people that read this is Dana and Jen and occasionally Lisa. So I ask you this..
Am I wrong? Are there not more bad things than good for buying a house right now?

I am ready to move out now. Matt is ready to move out now..so the only reasonable option in my head is apartment or multi family.
neither of us are willing to stick it out for 6-8 years to save more money to move out...i won't be 27 living in my parent's house.
