SHHHHH!!!! Don't tell anyone!!!!

I'm playing hooky from school today!!!
I had to take my mom to the hospital, for one thing - she had a doctor's appointment, and wanted someone else along to help her remember what he said, since her memory's becoming like a sieve. She fractured her spine last year while falling down the stairs (GODS! that was SCARY!), and for the past 3 weeks, has had such bad back pain, she finally decided to go and have her spine Xrayed. Good thing, too - it turns out she has arthritis in her spine, as well as a fractured disc!!! OUCH!!! She has to go in for an MRI soon - that'll be fun! (NOT!)
They're also going to have to go in with a needle and give her spine a shot of "cement", to help move the disc back into the right place. ICK!
Believe me - I felt justified in going to the doctor with her!!!

I've been busy the past few days, too - consolidating all my Georgian Trad writings (BOS, training material, etc.)into one BIG volume. I just had the feeling that I should do this, "just in case" - after all, Spring is coming up, and in Michigan, that can mean tornados, and I don't want my Georgian stuff destroyed!!!
It's almost full, believe it or not - and it's in a 5" binder!!! SHEESH!!! Oh, well...
My students are gonna FREAK when they see it - "You mean we have to copy THAT?!?" (OK, I have a mean streak in me sometimes...)
I'd love to find out how to wrap the book in leather - make it look like one of those 'grand tomes or grimoires'!
I'm also waiting patiently for the GEHB to get sent to me, so I can print it out and do the same thing to it, too. That'll be impressive, that's for sure! I may get a large scrapbook or album, so it looks like an old book, too...or wrap it in leather, too. (Damn! I wish Tandy hadn't closed its stores in Michigan!)

Speaking of book projects, I'm also getting back to writing my "Pagan Etiquette" book, thanks to several things - Convocation, among them! I had a nice talk with Dorothy Morrison, and Lisa McSherry, and they're both excited for me, which really got my creative juices going!
So, I'm back to writing it! I also saw Michelle Ballenger again, and she was excited when I asked to include her thoughts on how to be a good guest in rituals like the vampire goths do. (Hmmm...gotta send her that questionaire...)
Anyway, onward and upwards!

books of shadows, mom's health, georgian tradition, writing, magical etiquette
