Irrasshaimase, minna! O genki desu ka? As, soo desu ka! Alright! It's
time for the first edition of... Puchiko's Anime Check! *applause* This
time, we'll be checking Digi Charat, since that is from where Puchiko
hails and it would only seem prudent that it should go first, no? YES!
Okay, so, the plot is... not at all important and most of the time
nonexistant, but there is one, believe it or not! Dejiko (the princess
of planet Charat who ends her sentences with the suffix -nyo), Puchiko
(her, um, sidekick who ends her sentences in -nyu), and Gema (... er..
the
squishy floating yellow ball that nags Dejiko and ends his sentences
with -gema) crash land on Earth and
have to work part-time at the Gamers store in Akihabara to earn enough
money to live and fuel their pipe dreams of becoming pop idols. (Note:
The original episodes were just long commercials advertising for the
actual Gamers store, but the series became quite popular so they made
two other series for Digi Charat.)
This show is simply too bizarre and
random to have a solid plot, though it's also uber-cute and hilarious,
so I recommend it. Plus, it has Puchiko-chan in it!
Cast with a flock of adorable and comical characters, the show mainly
centers around their crazy everyday antics that are chock-full of that
odd sense of Japanese humor. A great thing to watch if you're feeling
down, but not so great if you're looking for deep, compelling storyline
or any storyline that lasts outside of one episode. That's what Serial
Experiment Lain is for. But, nonetheless, this anime is SUPER ULTIMATE!
It even has eye lasers! *_*----> Mekara beamu!
All in all, this anime gets a 7.5, which is pretty high -nyu.
