I decided to take the fiber plunge and signed up today; Up to 15Mbps down & 2Mbps up for $39.95. The earliest they could have someone out to do the home installation part was 8/23. Everyone works and no one could be home between 8a-5p for a 4-6 hour installation so I moved it to Monday, August 28th since its my day off. That gives me 13 days to buy some CAT6 (hopefully cat6a) cable & rewire my house before the installation. I'm not sure how that's going to happen unless I decide to not sleep for a week :-P
I have no idea where they are going to hook up the ONT which would make my life so much easier. It has to be somewhere near by to an internal power supply & I'm not sure they want to drill through brick. Well, not that I think about it, they really won't have a choice since the whole bottom half of the house is brick.
