. holiday fic exchange .
so hey kids, it's your pal hollytron, and i come from taking a break from my beloved bandom to bring forth an idea of yuletide goodness. i think maybe we should do a fic exchange this year since we are currently woefully lacking in fic here, what say you?
basically from what i understand about how this works is, you post a pairing and a prompt of what you'd like most in fic form for the holidays in a screened comment and i will assign your prompt to another writer secretly and arbitrarily (i will use my trusty fedora and draw names out of it, lol). YOUR PROMPT DOES NOT HAVE TO HAVE A HOLIDAY THEME, IT CAN BE ANYTHING YOU WANT. like say for mine, i want: PDA. high school!AU. zany antics. mention of william beckett.
there you go, that's my prompt. have fun with it, request what you have been craving to read no one has written yet!
also, writers, if you get assigned something you absolutely cannot do for some reason, i will either give you a redraw or we'll come to some other type conclusion. i want everyone to get exactly what they wanted for christmas, so fret not, i will find a way even if i have to write your prompt mahself.
deadlines: yes, the only un-fun thing about things like this is that they have a deadline, and i know sometimes creativity doesn't like to play nice with those. but i'll make them super easy! send in your comment if you want to participate by november 28 (the day after thanksgiving, or black friday for you retail workers) and i will assign you your prompt novemeber 29. fics are not due until december 23, so that gives you plenty of time to mull over your prompt and produce something fantastic for all of us, but especially the lovely group memeber who sent in the prompt.
i really hope you all decide to get onboard with this idea, guys. the results could be as epic as the last challenge we had, and you know how well that went!
also, cm or any other maintainer here! anytime you want to take over this idea or something since technically i'm not a mod and possibly shouldn't be orchastrating these type things, just let me know.
