watched eternal sunshine of the spotless mind last night, and thought it was quite good. i'm never taking another unisom...i had one sunday night and felt like the living dead most of the day on monday...i think i must have been part sick or something. anyway, i feel much better today.
i'm listening to red house painters on my new mp3 player, a creative nomad zen xtra (40 gb). it sounds great, and i love it. i also have some new appreciation for my
eMusic subscription right now. it's certainly not the be all end all of music, but it definately does give you some opportunity to be eclectic, and discover some new shit without really feeling like you're wasting anything. i think this month i downloaded:
califone - heron king blues (indie)
ash ra tempel - schwingugen (kraut rock)
all natural - second nature (hip-hop)
daya shankar - a few things (indian classical music)
jhelisa - galactica rush (r & b)
the fall - bend sinister (punk)
the vandermark 5 - simpatico (avante jazz)
ron affif - solotude (traditional jazz, solo guitar)
ozomatli - coming up (latin american)
all complete albums, all kick ass.
right now i'm at work trying to figure out how to save database connection strings to a web.config upon deployment. mostly, i'm just wondering if there are some custom libraries for doing so, or if i actually am going to have to use an xmlwriter or some such thing to update it.
hope everyone's doing well...
