Spike - Weds/Thurs - Locked to Kadaj and company.

Oct 20, 2005 11:19

Spike was beyond anger as he stalked away from the pub, and well into fury. It could have been funny. From a certain perspective, it was funny... or had been until it had come out that Angelus had allowed one of his human playtoys to play in the place where Spike slept without so much as sending a note.

"Dear Idiot:

One of my darling sex ( Read more... )

It was probably too early to close the pub when Kadaj ordered it but it was too late now. Frankly by the time they got it locked up, none of them really cared.

They rumbled up to their house, such that it was and parked their bikes in front, as always, situtated ready to ride. Arming the alarm systems, they filed in the house.

As each brother passed by the table with the black box, they touched their lips, then stroked the box gently in greeting with reverent looks on their faces.

Kadaj was in the process of stripping off his leathers on his way to the bathroom when he stopped. Souba, his double blade sword, slid from the sheath with a soft hiss. Loz and Yazoo immediately had gunblades in hand.

A hand went up to signal his brothers. Someone's in the house.

The entrance had hardly been subtle - no reason for it to have been. It was their house, after all. Spike hadn't bothered to be subtle either, and was currently sprawled out in their kitchen, staring thoughtfully at the ceiling.

The sudden silence in the other room followed by the creak of leather raised his estimation of all three of them a notch. "In the kitchen," he called, raising his voice just slightly above normal speaking level.

Kadaj slid his sword back into the sheath and signaled the all clear to Loz and Yazoo.

Snorting in disappointment he wasn't going to tangle with someone stupid enough to break in on them, Loz peeled off from the group and headed to the shower first. He'd let Kadaj handle it.

Yazoo collapsed onto their couch and stretched out so he could see directly into the kitchen door where Kadaj entered to meet with Spike.

"What's going on?" Kadaj deliberately left off the 'old man' considering the the mood that Spike was in when he split the club.

"Angelus, the poofy-haired bastard, is letting his new pets play in my home and suddenly I've no desire to spend my days there." Spike snorted. "He's careless with his toys and often breaks them, and I've no desire to have one of them decide, on a whim, to get even with him by burning down the roof over my head some bright, shiny morning."

"Yazoo said one of the freakers mentioned a cloud," Kadaj said offhanded. He strolled around to the other side of the kitchen table and sat down. "We eventually threw everyone out and locked up."

Kadaj was surprised. Surely someone wouldn't be that stupid as to try to kill Spike. He didn't believe the old man would go down that easily anyway.

"Thank you for that, at any rate." Spike made a face. "As it is, I'm looking for somewhere to sleep for a few days, if you'd be so kind. I have an idea for something more long term, but I'll have to do a little digging first."

"If what we have you can use, go ahead," Kadaj said with a shrug. He smiled and leaned back in his chair. "You figured out we don't lock the door."

"About that...." Spider grimaced again. "Don't ever invite Angelus to cross your threshold, hmm? Once you've granted permission, it's nearly impossible to keep him out."

Kadaj's eyebrows lifed in surprise. There was still quite a bit about Spike's kind of people, vampires, he had read in the town library. He let the word roll around in his head. His hand gestured in the air, a small wave. "We're a commodity to him and he doesn't strike me as the type to come play with us anyway."

Spike shrugged. "Everyone's a commodity to him, one way or another. I just don't want him wandering into my sleeping quarters till he's gotten this human thing out of his system. He's starting to think he's a sodding high school student and that's the outside of enough."

"If you don't mind the cellar, I think that's the only place in the house that is completely dark, or any of the bedrooms..." Kadaj leaned further back, rocking onto two legs to yank open the refrigerator to pull out a coke. He held one up to Spike.

"He'll stay out."

"Thanks." Spike waved away the drink. "I think that what I really want right now is a nice, long, uninterrupted nap."

"We haven't touched anything down there from last time." Kadaj popped the lid and drank deeply. "Loz and Yazoo will be quiet."
