I started the gluten-free diet on September 20th. I was in the middle of a dizziness episode, which usually lasts one or two weeks. As I told you before, nothing improved after I started the diet. On the contrary: this time the dizziness episode lasted a whole month.
That episode ended precisely on October 13th, after I inadvertently ate a small portion of pearl barley (I had forgotten that pearl barley contains gluten). Of course this was just a coincidence. I continued the diet.
But about a week ago I started having dizzy spells again. After 37 days of gluten-free diet. That's why I decided to stop the diet. I'm eating gluten again. I'm still having dizzy spells, of course, but I didn't have any other health problems.
So... that's it. A gluten-free diet is absolutely necessary for those with Celiac disease. It may work for other purposes for other people. It didn't work for me.
Oh, and I gained about two pounds eating gluten-free : (
