The Barchester Chronicles: I watched the first six eps. There’s just one ep left now. The Stanhopes are wonderfully witty. Slope is a nasty piece of work! His battles with Mrs Proudie are hilarious.
House: I watched all the eps up to the 6.05 (Brave Heart). I’ve been loving Season 6. There’s more interaction between the characters, something that was lacking in the previous seasons.
Mad Men: I’ve finished Season 3. Wow, what a great finale!
Yay for Joan, and yay for the development of the professional relationship between Don and Peggy. I wish Sal could be with the Sterling-Cooper-Draper-Price, but I’m not holding my breath. Anyway, I hope we can see Sal again! I wonder if those who didn’t join SCDP will be left behind. As for Don/Bets, I was tired of them as a couple. I have no patience for Don’s or Betty’s romantic/sexual affairs. Betty barely knows Henry Francis! This marriage can be a huge mistake (but as I said, I’m not really interested). I'm mostly interested in the professional relationships!!! (How weird!)
Merlin: I’m up to date. I’m afraid I disagree with most of my journal friends about the latest ep, “The Lady of the Lake”, because
I liked it! It’s not my favourite ep of the season, but I have no complaints about it. I believe this ep dealt with the romantic theme of ‘the monster’, that sense of not being accepted because you’re different. And of course Merlin identified with Freya, because that’s how he feels, too. And for the first time, Merlin was really alone, he had to follow his heart. What he did was dangerous, but you can't say he did the "wrong" thing. Merlin is a wizard; he has to deal with dangerous things, and he IS different from "normal' people. Was it cheesy? Maybe, but that’s how this show is for me: fun, lovely, with beautiful moments, and a lil cheesy.
