[here, have a little shoma who's managed to slip into an incredibly oversized jacket and a hat that covers his eyes walking right into you, tripping over his lengthy pants and knocking over a small rack of assorted shirts with as much grace as a flailing penguin.]

[Well, that was an odd series of events. Cole just stumbles forward and turns around, assisting in picking up the fallen clothes after seeing a few drones stare over.]

You shouldn't be wearing those, you'll only end up hurting yourself.

[shoma blinks, looks down at the mess he made and blinks again. he should... help out, yes, and apologize. so he starts to gather up a shirt or two and places them back on the rack, though not before pulling the hat off of his head.]

It was... a pretty stupid idea, wasn't it? Um, I'm sorry for -- well, all of this. I got carried away.

[The smile on Cole's face is one of those mandatory calming ones.]

It's alright, provided you now understand how dangerous it is...

[Once the shirts are taken care of, Cole holds his hand out for the hat.]

I'll help you find something that fits properly.

[whereas the smile on shoma's face is uneasy and faltering just a bit. clothes shopping never really was his forte anyway.]

I do, no worries. I don't think I'll wander around like that again.

[he dips his head with a sheepish chuckle and hands the hat over, absently fiddling with the long sleeve of his unoccupied arm.] Oh, really? You don't have to, I think I've troubled you enough already.

[Which includes, after placing the large hat away, helping Shoma pick out a proper outfit. So, Cole is going to be taking numerous combinations of clothing from the racks and showing them to Shoma... ones that fit, of course.]

Oh. ... Um, okay then. [he's just not going to ask about that. by now he knows to expect most everyone here to be strange in some way. shoma slips off the jacket he had been wearing, gives it a look and folds it over his arm. he shakes his head at the garments being shown to him, nervously laughing.]

I've never really... Worn anything like this before. Do they have anything loose? Not like this, though-- [a quick shake of the draped garment.]

[Hrmm... loose... Well, since Cole is from 1947 and this is the kind of fashion he's used to he just shakes his head.]

[weeps. no overly metro clothing for shoma, then. his shoulders slump a bit.]

Well... I'm not really picky, so whatever you think would suit me. Which probably means something that won't mind being ruined.

[Well, now that you said that, this (left) is the final outfit Cole chooses for him.]

This should be easier to take care of and wash.

[he's going to cry himself to sleep wearing that, but at least... well. at least it's fancy. sort of. kind of?]

My wife always said the only outfits I was good with were suits. [A small, light hearted laugh that is almost out of place for Cole.] I hope this outfit suffices.

At least I'll fit in? [he can't help but laugh a little, too.] Um... If you don't mind me asking, do you mean your... real wife? [as opposed to, say, mayfield's lovely little substitutes.]

Elsa. Oh -- it's not... very important. It's just, sometimes people end up being married to people... they're not married to? [why does he not make sense when he actually tries to.]
