Attended an African-American church choir performance tonight. Armand, friend of Cassiyrose's late friend, Richard, was performing in the choir. Glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read "we didn't sizzle like vampires on hallowed ground.", because I hate it when I spit take all over myself! Glad you all survived.

It was interesting. Yes, the audience was part of the service, waving and calling out. That was cool.

As J said elsewhere, I think, it wasn't a choir performance in a church. It was a church service with a choir performance. It was churchy. It was Jesus-y. It was about being saved.

S-diggle wanted to know why they had a hot tub (baptismal pool) up front. He's still not too interested in the full story of the Christian religion, so we mostly let it ride. Otherwise, I guess we'll tell him the "Some people really believe...." story about magic bad snakes, smart apples, and 3-3-youget3 divine persons in one god!
