Game of Shadows.

As much as I liked how Holmes was portrayed in Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes, I didn't recognise him much in Game of shadows.
The movie was great (for a sequel), many good laughs, especially at the beginning when they show the aftermath of Watson's bachelor party (what a wreck XD). There were some very funny canon remarks and observations even though I wish I had been able to watch the original version instead of the French dub.

But it is an action movie rather than a sleuth story. The plot was OK, I guess, but there was no mystery at all and lots of gunshots like in a James bond movie... Moriarty and Moran were more James Bond villains rather than the Napoleon of Crime and the second most dangerous man in London. This is not Sherlock Holmes anymore. I won't complain too much because it wasn't boring.Action packed but still great.

I liked the character interactions even if Sherlock's personality in GOS is different from the canon (has nothing to do with the canon actually) when it was quite good in the first movie. However, his interactions with John, even though they were modernised a lot , can be considered as canon; bromance , trust, hyper Sherlock and annoyed but indulgent and good natured John.
I regret the actual lack of "case" and Holmesian sheer deductive genius. Still, the last scene and the Reichenbach
confrontation were ok .

Anyway, there's one thing that wins over the whole movie:

STEPHEN FRY I LOVE YOUR BODY.
You s~sexy ♥♥♥! XDDD
(Stephen Fry plays Mycroft, another reason why I regret not being able to watch the movie in English. Mycroft . has. never. been . that .sexy. Sorry Mr Gatiss, unless you go all Full Monty in the next SH season, you won't beat Fry's Mycroft.)

Ah and this isn't my last Holmes related rant... I'll receive the bbc dvd soon and I'm currently re-watching the whole Granada series... all 16 dvds.

Last movie in a while, I'm doing 2012 Black March (they should change that name, sounds nazi. Isn't there a freaky book already called Black march or something ? I vaguely remember hearing that title in History class...) and I'll be too busy in February.
