Whew. Well, it's been a week of beautiful days and... well, an unexpected amount of work.

On Monday, I looked around and found a place I heard was another gamer hangout... but I got the sense rather quickly that it wouldn't be any better than Zimmie's, and that on top of that it was Zimmies's reject room, whether justified or not. Likely Shane will end up there in the long run. Not to mention, it's in kind of a bad neighborhood. Not worth it.

Tuesday, I visited Zimmie's to try to learn what happened there on Tuesdays. It turns out, not much, and that furthermore Dave and Vince are basically the only GMs in the place right now. So... um, I wound up volunteering to run another game, this one on Tuesdays so I wouldn't have competition (my D&D game failed because another D&D game started up on the same day that was fully 3.5 and didn't allow Shane, who's blown his chance with me, really).

Thus, I have about a week left to finish creating a world, a campaign outline (that much I have a lot of, really, as you shouldn't overplan), and perhaps most importantly, learn the system I want to use. I can't believe I agreed to use HERO when I'm still only halfway through the tome and don't have the Bestiary. Oh well, hopefully I'll manage...

...and manage to keep up with my RP online, and keep up with helping garlandh with Entropy, and alphabetize those files for Dad for some cash, and...

So in the middle of all this, Uncle Donald and Aunt Marsha decide to stop by overnight? Not that I'm complaining about them as people, not in the least. It's just that it's kind of impolite to work around guests, so...

rl, online stuff, rp
