My mouth tastes like flowers of a different name.

I spent the last 7 days doing nothing but fun.

And in the midst of these days, I've come to the conclusion that I don't want to stay here for another year. I don't want to go back to school in the fall. I don't want to come back to Humboldt within the next 5 years.

I think I'm moving to Chico, because I want to.

Not because I have a plan. I'm sick of plans.

I just want to start life, my life, closer to home. Not this home, mid-California home, where I'm reachable in a night. Where people might actually visit me, and I might actually visit them on a regular basis. I love all of you. And most of you aren't here.

I've wanted to live in Chico for a while. They have a credentialing program that accepts spring admits. And the fall apps aren't due till March 1 anyway, giving me another month to decide, rent is the same price as it is here, and I need a scene change. As much as I love the ocean, she'll still be raging. As much as I love the forest, I'll come back when they reach for me again. Right now, I need my humans, and with my degree in hand, I'll hopefully be a bit more useful, come May.

Tied up a lot of loose ends that I'd forgotten about and put under my bed for a long while. Whether anything is to be made of the fabric ever is a whole 'nother question, not to be answered for a long while, maybe never. Maybe that's okay.

2 hours to Davis and 3 to the bay. Much better than 5 or 6. Or at least it feels that way.

I might still move the the Bay if some sweet living arrangement appears, there are probably a lot more jobs available. AND, goddamnit I miss it. Cheap vegan food all over the place. People and shit, yeah. But either way, I've got to switch bubbles, the air is getting thin in this one.

My SCA application is complete with references now. I should make a resume. I go back to high school today or tomorrow. To watch and take notes and participate? Somehow.

I'm going to be a substitute teacher once I get my degree. May 2008, coming to a high school near you. Let the show begin.
