Do you have a yearning need to write Puck and Kurt in a relationship, but not much time to write epic-length sagas? Do you have a competitive nature? Would you like to prove your badassness by dominating on the field of author-on-author battle? Well then, this competition is for you! We desperately need more authors and the time commitment is minimal - just one drabble per week you're still in the competition. If you know someone who might be interested, please send them our way!

AND NOW, PRIZES!! First place author will win a drawing by ucanhavemysoup and second place author will win a short fic by me!

How it works:
Authors will be paired one-on-one and randomly given a prompt to base their <500-word drabble on. Victors will be chosen by the community at large! Each victor will advance to the next round. The number of rounds will be determined by the number of participants.

Prompts:
Round 1 - Random word
Round 2 - Time period
Round 3 - Emotion
Round 4 - Trope AU
Round 5 - Genre

Rules:

1. Drabbles must be submitted on time, or the match is forfeited and the other contestant automatically moves forward.
2. Drabbles must be <500 words. Longer drabbles will be grounds for disqualification.
3. Drabbles must be at most R-rated so that everyone can participate.
4. Voting will be open to the public. However, the authors will be asked not to vote on their own match.
5. Matches and prompts will be randomly assigned. If you have any will-not-writes, inform the mod upon sign up. Usual triggers or squicks like non-con, mpreg, suicide, etc will not be used as prompts, but will not be banned from inclusion.
6. Warnings and ratings must be included with each drabble submission.
7. Participants must provide a valid email address to the mod.

Sign-ups will end September 9th (extended through the weekend). Competition Begins September 14th.
