Just finished reading The Land of Stories
Read it sort of quickly, probably missed a few things.

Overall I liked it. It was cute and fun and, of course, had a great sense of humor. I totally cried during the funeral scene.
It could have used a little extra editing style-wise, because the confusing POV and the overuse of passive verbs got to me a little.
I knew who the journal belonged to right away and I kept thinking to myself, "How do they not recognize the handwriting?" I'd know my dad's handwriting anywhere. Okay, maybe it was different thirteen-odd years ago, but at least one of them should have said it looked familiar. Grandma as the fairy godmother didn't occur to me until much later, when Froggy insisted on taking the twins to her.
I'm sure I'll have more thoughts soon, but that's it for now!
