So here I am now.... sitting in the Business Class lounge..... finally simmering down after what has so far been a right crappy day.....
And it all started when we were due to leave the house. The taxi arrives and we're due to take our luggage downstairs to meet him. But guess what? The lift decides to break down right before we go!!! It worked fine in the morning but noooooooooooo it decides to shit itself right when the taxi arrives!!!!
And Murphys Law being what it is, fate decides to whack again a second time! Right before we left we remembered that we had to print out the electronic tickets for our flight and guess what? Gmail decides to shit itself!!! We finally manage to print it out before shutting down the laptop only to go to the printer and discover that the printout is all messed up!!! Arghhhh!!!
Erica then booted her laptop backup to discover that Vista is trying to load a whole bunch of updates!!! In the meantime, I'm slaving away lugging 100kg of luggage down the emergency stairs to the taxi!!! That's right, you heard me, 100kg of damn luggage!!!
Of all the damn moments the lift decides to break down, it happened to be right when the taxi arrived and on the singular occasion that we happened to be relocating overseas!!!! Arrrrrrghhhhh!!!!!! In the meantime, the Taxi is still waiting for us with the meter running and thus resulted in about an extra $30 charge on top of normal!!!
We get to the airport, check in our luggage, and are given our express pass through immigration only to find out that the express checkpoint through immigration is closed!!! Man, I swear Sydney Airport is so fricken' useless....
Sigh.... finally, the icing on top of the cake is that we've just been notified that our flight has so far been delayed 45mins to 1 hour. It's only just now that I've stopped stewing over the events that have transpired thus far and hope that's all the unfortunate surprises that are in store.
Yeah yeah I know I'm whinging over nothing and being petty when kids are starving in Africa and people are being shot left right and centre in Mumbai but well...... blow me.
