this morning, i was sitting in traffic under a slate-dark sky as the shocking brilliance of the snow coated everything with a new perspective. and then, my stereo told me the little story of belle and sebastian's "expectations." and i was instantly filled with wonder at the charm of life and living, a charm that i have not seen in a while.
