You know how I've been having dreams with the same familiar settings in them?
Well, just this evening I had a dream I was shopping at Hy-Vee. The front of the store was like the set-up of the discount store I've been dreaming of with the tight aisles and lots and lots of merchandise-- but the back of the store was more like a grocery with a Hy-Vee set-up. I had a craving for something crispy-sweet, caramelly and perhaps a touch of chocolate. I was searching for just the right thing, when I came across the produce section, in which I found random sections of pasteries and cakes and mostly doughnuts. I was kind of bored while searching, so I saw someone standing next to me who apparently I knew or was once acquainted with. I decided to say hi, strike up a converstation. But before I could finish my sentence, this person cut me off and nearly bit my head off, turned their cart away noisily and sped away. Miffed, I just stared in awe. I continued my search, however, with a bitter feeling. Not finding what I wanted, I found random small sections throughout the store at completely random and unrelated places where there were pasteries I might be interested in to satisfy my craving. Nothing I found was entirely what I was looking for. In the meantime, every few minutes I'd stop, look around, and the scene I was in changed. Different set-up, different placement of products, same customers, same dream. I decided to stop by the deli-- there I found some strange products.... I saw "pre-picked, pre-washed" mini pumpkins and squashes together in clear pre-packaged containers ready to taken homeand baked into a casserole or pie as if they were tuna, ready to be smashed into a sandwich. I saw mini cheese products that were the size and shape of kid's macaroni product-- whether they were in the shape of super heros or cartoon characters. Really, they were exactly like sponge Bob's face in a little macaroni shape, but the actual product was a cheese and not a pasta... ready to scoop in bulk and take home, melt in your macaroni. Look kids! Watch sponge Bob's face melt all erie-like onto your macaroni! Oooo! Ahhhhh!... (Shudder). There were other strange cheese products, but I found my interests set on those melting-cheese-faces. After the deli I remember looking in my shopping cart, and previous selections I had made didn't look so good anymore... so I just kept on searching....
