[[Edel was wandering the corridors of the castle, very confused. She had soft, warm flesh, not her usual wooden frame, and she could feel a heart beating in her chest. She was human, somehow, and had been since she woke up that morning. Why had this happened?
Being human felt very different from being a puppet. It had hurt when she'd accidentally hit her foot on one of the legs of her bed. Over time, a strange discomfort in her middle, almost a gnawing sensation, had grown as well.]]
