[ A young redhead sits alone on the edge of the fountain in the gardens, one of her hands swishing into the cool pool of water as she stares into its depths.
After a long moment, she sighs and pulls her fingers from the liquid, glancing at her rippled reflection briefly before turning away from the fountain completely.
She felt lost. And like such a coward. All this time, she had been wanting to see him and talk with him again, and yet after a very awkward exchange of words, she fled.
Ahiru wasn't one to give up. But she could feel it - that invisible barrier that Fakir had that she couldn't pass. He didn't want to tell her things, he had trouble looking at her, he was obviously uncomfortable with her presence, and he was quick to tell her not to worry about anything.
Clearly, he wanted to be alone. She should have guessed that much from how he avoided her.
But...
With a strange feeling clenching tight in her chest, Ahiru slowly parted her lips and looked out at the gardens almost wistfully as foreign words slipped out of her mouth - in song. ]
